Hi, I'm Tim

I founded 67 Engineering so that anyone from a weekend warrior to a professional could have access to an expert without needing to fund their own engineering department.

I've always had a love of race-cars, engineering, fabrication and solving problems. I get a kick out of making something faster, more efficient or even better looking.
I studied a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Hons) with a diploma of Professional Engineering at The University of Technology Sydney, completing Research in Optimising Manufacturing Workflows, and am registered with Engineers Australia.

But, I pride myself on the fact I learnt how to use my hands before the computer. Not all engineers have an appreciation for needing parts/systems to be serviceable, easy to replace AND an effective solution to a problem. I think that knowledge only comes from hours spent under cars or working on systems cursing the designer for making it so painful to work on.
I engineer and race two cars with my Dad as my own passion projects, both of which are polar opposites of the other.

The first is an Alfa Romeo GTV6 with a 3.3L naturally aspirated V6 that makes around 400hp. It has no power steering, no ABS, no traction-control and is a wrestle both in the garage and on the track.

The other is a MARC 1 Focus, which is tube frame purpose built endurance series racing car. It has a 5.0L V8 Coyote, Paddle shifted Albins trans-axle, ABS, traction control, electric steering and a full MoTeC Data system.

To say its a broad spectrum of knowledge required to get the best performance out of either of them is an understatement.

All this is a long way of saying that I'm an engineering nuffy, and my passion is ensuring you get exactly the result you want, without the frills and fluff.
